Is there a registration fee?

No, registration is free of charge. It involves some paper work and meeting your pet. This will be required before I am able to walk / board your pet as there is vital information required for insurance purposes which include vet details, medical history and owners consent for treatment should an incident occur. If keys are required they will also be taken at this time. Collection of keys thereafter will incur an additional charge.

Will my keys be safe?

To avoid a security risk your keys will never have your address on them or be kept with any documents that could link them to your home. The only details your keys will have on them is emergency contact information.

How many k9’s will be walked at one time?

I can walk up to 6 k9’s at one time, however I normally walk a group of up to 4 k9's. You can specify a 1-1 or group walk depending on your k9.

Is my pet insured?

Your pet will be insured for public liability with Cliverton under a specific dog’s walkers / boarders’ policy. They should also have their own insurance in place in case of illness or injury.

How can payment be made?

I accept cash, cheque or bank transfer and you pay on monthly basis for dog walking. Invoices are provided through E-mail or hard copy.  To help save the environment E-mail is preferred!

When k9’s are boarding a 50% deposited will be required at the time of booking.  The remainder will be required when the stay commences.

For overnights, again a 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking and the remainder paid when the overnights commence.  No refund of deposit will be made if you cancel boarding or overnights.

Where will my pet stay when boarding?

Your pet will be welcomed into my own home as part of the family. I always try to adapt the same routine as you do-within reason. (E.g. if allowed / not allowed on the sofas, feeding times, walks)

Will my pet be the only one?

Unless agreed by yourself and other owners, your pet will be the only boarder at the time of their visit. If other pets need to board at the same time and I feel them to be compatible I will ask the owners for permission for the pets to board together. They will always be supervised with everyday life and when not supervised will be separated in their own rooms to avoid any unnecessary stress.

Will I need to bring anything for my pets stay?

Yes. Please bring your pets normal diet and enough to cover their stay as well as any bedding, toys and items that will help them feel at home.

How will my pet get to your house?

You can either drop them off at an agreed time or I can collect them also at an agreed time (£5 pick-up/drop off fee for a 5 mile radius of BS7)

What happens if my pet is ill or injured?

Your k9 will be taken to the nearest vet for emergency treatment or your own if time allows.  I also have a wonderful local practice that will take walk-ins.
